Although taught to me through the lens of IT, project management is a skill that every profession can benefit from. It provides fundamentals that affect all aspects of a project.
Throughout the second half of the year, my team and I have been investigating and learning a variety of project management methods, both Agile (DSDM & Scrum) and Waterfall (PRINCE2) methodologies.
To properly understand these methods, we have reviewed a multitude of case studies allowing us to practice and gain experience in a low risk scenario.
MoSCoW prioritisation and scrum ceremonies/time-boxing skills will become particularly relevant given the iterative nature of design projects. On the other hand, PRINCE2 provides a solid foundation for traditional project management processes, allowing for a more effective, reliable project plan.
