During this project, myself and a partner created our own custom font based around Brisbane street artist Sarah Sculley’s work, and produce two supporting promotional images using the font. [x]

To complete this project we researched what made a good font design and attended typography workshops. Once we had settled on a design style, my partner was responsible for using ink to hand letter several dozen versions of the individual glyphs. I was then responsible for digitalising the font, cleaning up the characters and putting in into the font authoring program.

I then work on creating the poster and graphic, paying close attention to use only characters from within the font.

This project was a challenging experience that gave me first hand experience in creating my own custom font. High definition versions of the graphic and poster, as well as a process video are available here:
